NAACP 48th Annual Life Membership Banquet

We look forward to another year of celebration and cordially invite you to the 48th Annual Life Membership Awards Banquet.  Our theme, “400 Years of Perseverance:  1619 - 2019, Hampton, Virginia!”  In commemoration of the 400th Anniversary of the arrival of the 20 and some odd slaves, the Hampton Branch encourages everyone to focus on strategies to renew our commitment to our community, our traditions, and our values.  We encourage the focus to get out and register your power and use your authority in voting.  We also continue to strengthen our friends, family, and community members to register and vote.  Your assistance is always much appreciated in this endeavor. Keynote Speaker Rev. Dr. Rex Marshall Ellis, the Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs at the National Museum of African, American History and Culture in Washington DC, and also the first African American Vice President for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, where he managed all programs and operations.  Ellis, a native from Queens Creek Road outside Williamsburg, Virginia,  received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Masters in Fine Arts from Wayne State University, a Masters of Divinity from Virginia Union University, and an Ed.D from the College of William and Mary.
