Region 5 Training CSB Training Academy is pleased to provide 5 full day trainings on Eco-System Structural Family Therapy over the next few months. Clients deserve a comprehensive understanding of their symptoms and the factors that sustain them. Many of the drivers that maintain problems in coping are the result of relationships and environmental influences. The Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy Model brings these components into the individual and family therapy process in order to foster a deeper understanding of our relationships, promote change and improve functioning.                                                                                    Learning Objectives for this Training: 1. Explain and understand family systems thinking with a focus on tragedy and trauma. 2. Employ the (4) stages of the Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy model, including joining, establishing a meaningful focus, creating enactments, and anchoring the change. 3. Understand the pillars of the Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy model, including attachment, executive functioning, co-caregiver alliance, and emotional regulation.  4. Participants will understand ways that they can incorporate this information into their everyday clinical practices. Our Presenter- Karen Grabowski is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, EMDR Trained, and a Certified Adoption Competent Mental Health Provider. Karen is a graduate of the William and Mary Community Counseling Program. Karen has conducted local and state-level training, including clinical trainings for mental health staff, trauma-informed school trainings, foster care trainings for the Department of Social Services (DSS), and statewide trainings on High Fidelity Wraparound Services.           Training Dates: 9/19/19, 11/21/19, 1/16/20, 3/12/20, 5/21/20. While attendance at each consecutive session is not required, it is recommended to participate in all trainings to develop a fuller knowledge of this approach.  6 Contact Hours through DBHDS will be provided for each training.
